Believe it or not, little boys love to play dress-up just as much as little girls. I love that age of imagination and try to foster that in my sons whenever possible. Having three boys of my own, I quickly realized that there really weren't a lot of dress-up options for boys other than Halloween costumes. And not for nothing, but I didn't always want to be the Mom getting weird stares as I strolled down the grocery aisles with Power Rangers-clad toddlers in my cart.
Thus, the idea behind Zoodies (zoo animals + hoodies) was born. It's everyday "dress-up" for boys and girls. I started with the horse, skunk and dino, and before I knew it, was getting requests for all sorts of animals.
What's been most rewarding for me is that I've been able to combine my passion for sewing and my sons' fervor for costume attire to create clothing that they enjoy wearing (and I feel comfortable taking them to the dentist's office in!).
